We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised. (Hebrews 6:12 NIV)
Every time we open the Bible and read the stories of believers who, like Christ, set good examples for us to follow, we can see that none of them procrastinated in performing their ministry. We can read that they took advantage of every day and hour to carry out their mission. They did not make excuses out of anything but rather looked for opportunities despite the hindrances and difficulties they face. If we look at the early Christians, wherever they go – left, right, forward, or backward, persecution awaits and haunts them but never did they use it as an excuse to perform their ministries half-heartedly. Nowadays, have we ever experienced the troubles the early Christians had for us to have any reason, enough to excuse us in performing our Christian duties? We have all the time, all of the opportunities, and all the freedom to exert our best in serving God. Let us stop making excuses and start living in faith.
