Even a fool, when he is silent, is counted wise, and he who shuts his lips is counted as a man of understanding. (Proverbs 17:28 NKJV)
Less talk, less mistake. A wise man qualifies and thinks first what he says. He makes sure that his words are with sense and purpose. He is a man of few words. When he opens his lips, everybody listens for they learn and are blessed by his words. He speaks of the truth and with love. His words are tender and sweet to hear. A foolish man speaks without any considerations. His foolish words hurt the feelings of those who listen. He claims to be “brutally frank” which actually speaks ill words from uncontrolled temper. Though he may, in times, be mistaken as wise by others, God knows his heart, his motives and purpose. Speak as God speaks. God’s words are true and do not come back without fruits. Stop, look, listen and then speak. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt because you are a Christian.
