Then I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: Happy are those who from now on die in the service of the Lord!” “Yes indeed!” answers the Spirit. “They will enjoy rest from their hard work, because the results of their service go with them.” (Revelation 14:13 GNB)
We are all aware that our life on earth is temporary. Sooner or later, God will take it back from us. When that time comes, what will only matter are not the years in our life but rather, the life in our years. Yes, what we should be more concerned about is not how long we lived but how we used the time given to us to live. We were all given equal chances to spend our life in doing what is right: to serve God. Some people are afraid and worried when it comes to serving God for they think they will lose their precious time in serving Him. What we should know is that every second that we spend in serving Him will be worth it, even if we die. Why do I say so? Because everything that we strive for, for the sake of serving Him, will have something great in return: the eternal life with our Father in heaven. So let us not worry about anything while we are serving God, even what will happen after our physical death. After all, physical death is something a real Christian looks forward to.
