But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Hebrew 11:6 NKJV)
The greatest mistake that we can make is to not love God because to love God fully is the greatest and most important command. But we cannot love Him without knowing Him or denying we know Him. He reveals Himself in the things He created. The heavens and all creations declare Him. There is no excuse in loving God. We are blessed to know God, not only by seeing His great power, but also by feeling His love for us. We love God that is why we serve Him. Because we serve Him with love, His commands are easy to obey. We serve Him due to love through our faith. We know for sure that He is pleased with us. In our hearts, we feel the satisfaction that money cannot buy. That alone is a reward in itself, although God is generous to reward us for our faithfulness. God does not forget to supply our needs for us to serve Him more.
