Gold Dust No. 299

‘Good job! You’re a good and faithful servant! You proved that you could be trusted with a small amount. I will put you in charge of a large amount. Come and share your master’s happiness.’ (Matthew 25:21 GW)

Love can be expressed in small and great ways. We should love God by doing His commands in small and great ways, according to the gift of the spirit He gave to each of us. It is a folly if you think that since you can do little that it will have little or no effect at all and will pass unnoticed. Know that God is giving us small works to test our faithfulness and at the same time preparing us for bigger and more significant works. He first asks us to overcome hills and valleys so we can climb mountains. We are being tested for small trials to prepare us for greater difficulties in life. We are enlisted as soldiers of Christ to fight for our faith, to prepare us for the ultimate battle against Satan. The promise of God is consistent. The small seed will grow to a great vine; the small faith can grow and move mountains; the small flock will become a great Church. Be faithful in your Christian walk amid all challenges. It is said that a journey of a thousand miles starts with a small single step. So is our journey towards perfection and to the New Jerusalem, it begins by faithfully doing our ministry now until the end.
