Gold Dust No. 275

He who has knowledge spares his words, and a man of understanding has a cool spirit.(Proverbs 17:27 AMP)

We are taught to be quiet, and to do our duties and to work with our own hands. First, we need to have quiet time with the Lord, pondering His words of truth, promises, encouragements, love and work of salvation that delivered us from sins. Second, we are to be quiet in doing our works, and minding and diligently doing our own business. As a Church, we are to be the light of this world. Light shines without fanfare. We do good without sounding the trumpet. We give with our right hand without our left hand knowing it. We quietly grow into the perfect image of Christ – like a tree quietly growing its roots, expanding its branches, with its leaves so fresh and green and bearing fruits continually. The world as we experience it is so noisy with its sins. The world does not sleep. You hear the sounds of wars, arguments and debates, screams of oppression and pains and hunger and confusions. The world is without love and without peace and quiet. The world is without God. Divine knowledge makes as quiet in awe because we know the awesome God. He reveals to us the past, the present and the future. We understand the what, why, where, when, how and who of God’s works. The Church is like still waters, calm and silent because of the deep understanding of the revealed truth of God. The world on the other hand, may be compared to shallow waters which are troubled and noisy for they deny the true living God, Jesus Christ. Cool is the “IN THING” now. It is to be a SPIRIT-FILLED CHRISTIAN.
