If we say we are his, we must follow the example of Christ.(1 John 2:6 CEV)
Have you noticed that children grow up like their parents? What ways, habits did you get from your parents? If you grow up with someone, soon you will be like that someone. The influence is great that you are molded just like who you are with. It is true physically. It is also true spiritually. If we grow up spiritually with Jesus Christ, we will be like Him. If you profess to be His true disciples, then you must think, feel, talk, walk, and live and love like Him. You must be united with Him in purpose and spirit. Walk in obedience to God, taking the righteous path to life. Do not put God behind you. Follow Him by submitting yourself to His will. Put Him first before anything else. Live in truth and in the purity of your soul. Avoid sin. Resist evil. Make sure that God is glorified in all that you do. Do not seek your own glory. Let His glory shine on your face so that others may see Christ in you. The great work of Christ for the salvation of human souls shall continue until all souls kneel to glorify God in all nations, tribes and languages, because Christ is in you.
