Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. (Psalms 37:3 NIV)

God called Abraham to go to a land he does not know. The conversation may have transpired like so; God: Abraham, pack your things. You and your family leave. I will direct you to where you will go. Abraham: God, where do you want us to go? God: Trust me. If I tell you, you will not believe it. I will bring you to Canaan, a land flowing with milk and honey. Besides that, I will make you father of many nations. Abraham: God are you serious? Are you joking? I do not know the place. And Sarah my wife is barren and cannot bear a child. God: Trust me. It shall be done. I promise. Abraham trusted God and went his way without knowing where and what life awaits him and his family. He obeyed God’s directions and found blessings, peace and security for himself, his family and for us who has his faith in God. Trust and obedience go together. It is not enough to say you trust God and then do what you want and not what God wants. Also, even if you do good, be righteous but without trusting him, instead you do good based on your trust in yourself and in others, you will end up in trouble. Scriptures say, trust in the Lord and do not lean in your own understanding. Our hope should be in God. He is omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent. Whereas all things, even what we can do, do not last and are limited. The way to a happy life is not at all on temporal things but in spiritual things. Align your desire to God’s desire and you will be happy and successful, just like Abraham. Pray that God puts His desire in your heart. And then follow your heart’s desire which is of God’s. Trust and obey. Many of us miss the right way and get into dangerous zones. We miss the road to a blessed life because we get directions from others and from our own self. Look up for directions. Seek God and He will direct your path to success.
