I ask only one thing, LORD: Let me live in your house every day of my life to see how wonderful you are and to pray in your temple. (Psalms 27:4 CEV)
The Most Holy Church of God in Christ Jesus is the spiritual house or temple of God. David planned to build a house for the Lord. Solomon, his, son implemented the plan and finished its construction. During the dedication, he called it the most holy house. (2Cro. 3:8,3:10). It is appropriately called most holy because the Holy God owns it. (Lev. 27:28). But that temple was just the shadow of the real one, the spiritual house of God. (1 Tim. 3:15, 1 Tes. 2:14). We are God’s family. As His children, we desire to dwell in our Father’s house. There, we are secured from evil and we are provided with all of our spiritual needs. It is our utmost desire to be with God in His Church. Nothing should be more important than that, to stay in His Church. Why? Because we can see the beauty of God. He reveals His infinite beauty to His children. His beauty is His holiness, righteousness manifested in His many infinite attributes, which is likened to a rainbow comprised of beautiful colors, in the horizon, majestically reigning alone in the sky. We do not just want to see but to learn also from Him. He is full of wisdom. He will teach us His ways and tell us things that were, that are and that will be. Then we can understand Him more. Knowing and experiencing God will make us love Him more, drawing us closer to Him. Our desire to be with Him is permanent not only in this life but especially in the afterlife. Here and there we shall enjoy His awesome beauty and experience His amazing love until… forever.
