LIFE IS A JOURNEY. It is a gift of God which we should value the most. Our life is limited only in years, months, days, hours, minutes, and seconds. We cannot move back the hands of time. We must spend our life wisely. We should walk in wisdom.

There are two kinds of wisdom according to the Bible: the Godly wisdom and the earthly or worldly wisdom. Godly wisdom is pure, peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere; while, worldly wisdom is characterized as envious, selfish, disorderliness, and evil practice. “It denies the truth because it is of the devil”. (James 3:17,14-15 NIV)

We must check our lifestyle. Are we living in holiness according to the wisdom of God or are we enjoying a sinful life? What we do now will determine how we shall live tomorrow, and further ahead is – how we shall spend eternity. What we sow, we shall reap. If we plant the seed of righteousness, we shall harvest

peace with God and men and gain blessings and

everlasting life. If we live a sinful life, we shall end up losers in this life and suffer in eternal burning sulfur in hell.

As Children of God, we are expected to live a lifestyle different from that of the world. We are to transform in the newness of our mind which is the mind of our Lord Christ Jesus. We are not to follow the ways of the world, rather, we should be steadfast in our resolve to say “NO” to ungodliness and worldly passion. We should focus on the things of God and His glory.

The Scriptures teach us how to walk in wisdom. Walk in love. (Efe. 5:2). Do everything out of love for God and all men. This kind of love is AGAPE which is unconditional, sacrificial and divine. Walk in truth. (3 Jn 1:4). The word of God is the truth that we all should believe and live by. We should do away with false teachings and doctrines but rather seek and hold on to the truth of God’s words.

Walk in the Spirit. (Gal. 5:25). A spirit-filled life is full of love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Walk by faith not by sight. (2 Cor. 5:7). Using our spiritual eyes of faith, we should focus on Christ and His promises if continue living a victorious life. Walk in the light. (1 Jn 1:7). We are the light of the world. Let us walk as children of light living in holiness and not in darkness. Walk worthy of God. (1 Tes. 2:12). Our life is our Ministry. We should faithfully do our ministry according to God’s gift to each of us. We are called to be instruments to proclaim His glory. Finally,

WALK LIKE OUR LORD CHRIST JESUS.(1 Jn. 2:6). Follow His example of a life of obedience to the will of the Father until death.

Are we now wise enough to overcome the world? Christ said;

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (Joh. 16:33).

May God give us the wisdom that we may live a fruitful, enjoyable and victorious life in Christ.
