To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. (Revelations 3:7)
Abba, our Lord Jesus Christ, You hold the key for our salvation. We cannot enter the heavenly Kingdom unless You let us in. Your sacrifice makes us worthy to enter Your Kingdom. Sinners are not allowed to enter the door of Your Kingdom. You are the door we are able to enter. We have entered Your kingdom through You by baptism into Your Church, Your spiritual body. Our sins were washed through baptism; our old self died and was buried in the water. You forgave our sins and made us holy. We were justified and sanctified by Your covenant blood, authorized to enter Your Kingdom. The door of Your Kingdom is wide open. You want it open for the repentant souls to enter and be made holy. They open when You send us to reach out and share Your gospel. Lord, may we lead and persuade them to accept You as Lord and Savior and be willing to enter Your Kingdom. In our daily living, may we trust You to open the door of opportunities, for us to receive Your provisions and protections. Lord, we believe when one door closes, another door opens. May we not just see and ponder on closed doors but see the ones You open for us. Thank You, Lord, for the life, health, talents, and opportunities You give us daily to reach our goals spiritually and materially. We praise You, Lord. Amen.
