Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord; that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful. (James 5:11)
Abba, sovereign God, our Father in Heaven, Your intention is to purify us and prosper us in body and spirit. We come to You today in praise and worship. We trust You with all our heart. Whatever circumstances in life we are in, Your love does not waver. We came to this world with nothing and will leave this world with nothing. We are thankful to receive the good things from Your generous hands, and Lord, see also in our hearts that we also accept the adversities that come to us. May we not question You nor blame You for whatever difficulties we have in life. We know our adversary, Satan, will try to destroy us. Satan may give us emotional, financial, and physical difficulties. Some of us suffer from loss of loved ones and properties, which result in emotional and financial hardships. Even more Lord, Satan may give us physical sickness that we suffer bodily and mentally. In all these times Lord, we know in our hearts, You are there with us. Nothing happens to us without Your knowledge and permission. Your intention is not to hurt us. It is clear to us Lord, You want us to fully trust You, to experience Your great power working in us, and most of all, Lord, to make us exceedingly holy. You are our advocate, help, and Savior. Abba, as Your beloved children, we pray that You strengthen us. We pray that we may persevere and finally overcome all the sufferings that come to us and prove our faith and love for You. We trust, Lord, that soon, all our sufferings will be gone and we shall continue to honor and worship You. Amen.
