Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin. (James 4:17)
Abba, oh, Sovereign God, we confess our sins before You and ask for Your forgiveness. Forgive us for the mistakes we committed because of our ignorance, weakness, and impatience. Also, forgive our disobedience to Your commandments due to pride, as we acted as if we were wiser than You. Moreover, Lord, we also confess we have not done Your will fully. We have not done the right things when there were opportunities to do them. We did not pray for a sick brother or sister, for those who are in need of help and support, and for those who need comfort and encouragement. We fail in giving to You with a cheerful heart and in accordance to the blessings we received from Your generous hands. We fail to return to You the tenth of our produce or income, which honors You for it represents the first or most important portion. Lord, forgive us. Likewise, please forgive us if we have not done Your command concerning our spouse, children, and other family members. We vowed to love them under the Covenant of Love You established in our families. May we make-up for the lost times to prove our love and enjoy them fully. God, Your Covenant of Love especially covers those in Your Church Family. May we abound in good works to prove that we are Your children. Charity begins at home. Let love abound in our homes, in the family of believers, and when that love grows, may it overflow to the non-believers to lead them to You, to praise and worship You. Amen.
