Let Us Pray No. 260

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” (Isaiah 6:8)

Abba, our generous Father, Lord God, You called us to be stewards of gifts for the edification of Your Church and as channels of blessings for others. We are certain of this calling for we have experienced You in our lives. We found love and peace in You when You purged all our sins, so we may proclaim and share them with others. As Your faithful stewards, we have to give what we received from You. We submit ourselves to be instruments for the great miracles You want to perform in the lives of many. You gave each of us according to our own ability. No one is lacking and not all have the same amount. Some are given more to give more. Lord, Your instruction is clear: if we do not use it, we lose it. When we give and share them with others, we become part of Your miracle. You can multiply what we have given. If we keep them for our own, You will not multiply them. The little boy gave his modest lunch in Your hands to feed a big crowd. Even in our everyday life, Lord, teach us to open our hands to support Your good works. Renew our minds to be part of Your work even in small ways. If we cannot contribute something big, teach us to do even little. If we will only give our little contribution, we can accomplish a lot and greater things. Forgive us when our minds resist in doing anything because we cannot do everything. We know You do not ask us anything we are unable to give. Lord, You gave Your all. We shall give our all for Your work, knowing that when we do, we shall receive manifold more in this present life and the world to come, the life forever more. Lord, here I am, send me! Amen.
