God is faithful and reliable. If we confess our sins, he forgives them and cleanses us from everything we’ve done wrong. (1 John 1:9 GW)
Apostle Paul said in desperation, “What a wretched man I am! Who will save me from this body of death?” And he was ecstatic to say, “Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!” This is true to us in the last days. We are all in a great battle. It is a war of good against evil, right vs. wrong, light vs. darkness, sin vs. holiness. It is the greatest battle which lasts for a lifetime. It is a battle that is within us, within ourselves. It is the battle between the spirit and the flesh. As children of light, we are created beautifully. The old self has died. God raised a new Spirit in us and we live now in the Spirit. But the old self is a monster who wants to rise from the dead. In us there is war between the Beauty and the Beast. The Beast (old self) wants to dominate and rule the Beauty (new self) again. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. We sometimes fall into sin but we do not live in it. We have a Savior in Jesus Christ. He is the only one who can save us and forgive our sins. The Most High God, who was before incommunicable since eternity past, has revealed Himself so that sinners can approach Him for mercy and forgiveness. Admit our mistakes and approach His mercy throne with a humble and repentant spirit. He will cleanse us and wash us with His blood. He will anoint us with His Spirit. He will remove our sins. No sins will remain in our soul. Everything will be washed away. Great or small, He will bundle them together and throw them away, so as not to be remembered. That is how God loves us. He made us holy according to His eternal purpose, so that we may return to our original state of holiness, with eternal existence to enjoy the blessings of His company here, now and forever. Brethren, let our Beauty always rule over the Beast.
