I assure you, unless you turn from your sins and become as little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven. (Matthew 18:3 NLT)
The things that are forbidden are the ones we find pleasure in doing. That is how the devil tricks us into sinning. He makes the worldly acts seem so pleasurable to us to take away our focus from the very reason of our existence – to serve God. What most people do not know, these carnal pleasures give us temporary happiness but may lead us to eternal doom. The only way to gain eternal life is to live in holiness. Yes, we will certainly feel a sort of loneliness when we deprive ourselves from carnal pleasures, but surely, it will lead us to eternal life where there will be no more suffering, loneliness and any kind of trouble. So let us live like little children who worry about nothing. We will be able to worry nothing about damnation if we spend our lives striving for the perfection of holiness. Leave one sin at a time; practice one act of holiness at a time.
