As true believers of Christ we confess and profess that Christ is the Lord of our lives. We hear and do His will and tell others of His Lordship. He will reward us, His Faithful servants, with the gift of the Holy Spirit. He promised to pour His Spirit in us like water being poured, to quench our thirst. Get thirsty with God and He will supply you the water of life, the Spirit of God. It is living water, not stagnant water or still water. It is alive that empowers us to do His will and overcome all trials and temptations as we walk in holiness. The source is Jesus Christ. From Him comes the water of life that if one drinks of it will never thirst. As a water well that needs to drilled deep into the ground before water comes out of it, so is with Jesus when He was pierced who died in the flesh, and sprung from Him the life we now live in Him and for Him. He was the rock in the wilderness from where the Israelites drunk, and now our Rock where our faith is established. The source does not go dry but flows without fail. He will provide us rivers not one but many as sources of living waters. It will spring from our hearts. There will be abundant life blessings that He will give. These blessings will fill our hearts with lasting satisfaction in every area of our lives. It’s unlikely for you to get thirsty again after you drink. No. His blessing will continue as long as we are connected to Christ. The blessing springs from the heart not from the flesh. We do the things of the spirit and be satisfied by it.
