Therefore, while the promise of entering his rest is still open, let us take care that none of you should seem to have failed to reach it (Hebrew 4:1 NRSV)
Jesus, our Lord, is our bridge over troubled waters. There will be times when life seems like a raging water stream. We cannot seem to pass through it. If not too difficult, it would be dangerous even to attempt to cross it. That happens in our spiritual life. Chaos prevents us to proceed in our path to perfection. We lose the steam, the energy and enthusiasm to continue doing our ministry. Fear and anxiety engulf our soul. We tend to stop in serving God to focus on finding solutions to our many problems. We search for peace and rest from troubles. Brothers and sisters, focus on the Lord. Trust in Him. Let our faith depend on Him from start and finish. He is the bridge that is firm and strong and the only way for us to overcome all the tests of life. With Him, we have peace. Be calm. Do not fear. Rest in the Lord. Take care not to lose your focus on Christ.
