So everyone who lives in union with Christ does not continue to sin; but whoever continues to sin has never seen him or known him. (1 John 3:6 GNB)
No one has come up to the glory of God. All have strayed in their ways. Everyone is a sinner. Sinners are condemned and shall be tormented in the hell of fire. They will be separated forever from God. They are dead in the eyes of God. Truly, when Adam and Eve disobeyed God’s command not to eat the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden, they died instantly. Not the physical death but the death of their souls. They were separated from God, sent out from His presence. So, sin came into the world and all have sinned and that is the bad news. But the good news is, Christ came to save those who will believe. We were forgiven and purified by His blood and were reunited with God through the spiritual body of Christ, the Most Holy Church. As when Adam and Eve were created after God’s image, so are we reborn to become children of God, created to do good works through baptism in His name. As children of God, we have the seed of God. Therefore, we can say that we have God’s DNA: holy and righteous. As children of God, we do not live in sin. It is not anymore our lifestyle. We have a godly lifestyle now. As God is our Father, we know Him and see Him. We are in awe and amazed with the purity and the beauty of His holiness. He is most high in majesty and most powerful over any force. He is also love and full of mercy but also one who is just and hates sin. In reverence to God, we do not live in sin. For the love of God, we obey His commands. Stay connected with God for He is always within reach.
