But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.(Matthew 6:6 NIV)
God is so near yet so far. He is so near to those who fear Him and obey His will. He is so close to us, His beloved children. When we seek Him, He will show Himself to us with power, mercy and beauty of holiness. Find Him in your heart—in your innermost self. Talk to Him and enjoy His presence. Ask and you will be given. Nothing is impossible to Him. Whatever you ask from Him, He is able to give. In fact, He is generous to the righteous that He gives more than what we asked for. Ask directly from Him. You do not need something such as idols to represent Him nor to serve as mediators for Him to hear you–the more God will not hear you. If you pray, pray without doubt, be firm in what you ask for and do not to be fickle minded that you are not sure of what you really want. Approach His throne of mercy with a true and humble heart. You can talk to Him one on one, heart to heart, as Father and son talks. Tell God everything, though He knows. He wants you to tell Him with faith and in full dependence on Him. He may answer yes or no according to His sovereign will. He will give what is best for you. If He says yes and you received what you ask for, thank and praise Him. If not, ask for wisdom to ask from Him what is best for you and then realign your plans and pleas accordingly. Father knows what is best for you. God, on the other hand, is far and separated from the wicked. He does not know and hear those who live sinful lives. Repent and do His will and God will come near you, more than that He will dwell in you.
