The Lord lifts up the humble and downtrodden; He casts the wicked down to the ground. (Psalms 147:6 AMP)
The Lord is so great that nothing is greater before His eyes. He holds the whole universe at the palm of His hands. He is against those who are proud and mighty in their own eyes. God casts them down because of their knowledge that exalts against Him. With His words, He reveals Himself to be mightier than anyone, and with the power of His words, brings them into captivity in obedience to God. Otherwise, punishment is already at hand to destroy them and bring them back to where they come from, the dusts of the ground. They glory in the things of the earth, live with it and are destined to perish in hell. The saying comes to pass, “Ashes to ashes dusts to dusts…” The humble and the oppressed and the exploited will glory in the end. God will lift them up, put them on a rock, save them and strengthen them. When God lifts them up, they will be really high above all men. They will be rulers on earth and be glorified in heaven. God can reverse our situations in life. He will lift us up in our spirit, hope, peace, power and honor. God loves those who trust in Him and acknowledge His Lordship.
