“I am the bread of life,” Jesus told them. “Those who come to me will never be hungry; those who believe in me will never be thirsty. (John 6:35 GNB)
According to scholars and experts, the Exodus could be finished within eleven days but the Israelites arrived to Canaan after forty years. In their journey in the wilderness going to the Promised Land, there were many trials they experienced and there are certain reasons why God let them. They experienced hunger and thirst but God gave them manna and sent them quails to eat. When they traveled under the heat of the desert sun, God took the form of a cloud to shade them. When they traveled at night time, He gave them fire to light their way. God did all of these because He wants Israel to put all their hopes in Him and trust Him in everything. Same way God is with us today. We should always pray to God everyday to ask for His protection and provide us everything we need. Serve Him and thank Him for everything. Do not be ungrateful like the Israelites every time they face hardships. Be thankful for God is always giving you the strength to cope and be victorious. Believe in His words and have faith in His promises. As long as His words are burning alive in our hearts, we will always receive what we need and we will never feel like we lack anything.
