By faith we have been made acceptable to God. And now, because of our Lord Jesus Christ, we live at peace with God. (Romans 5:1 CEV)
The Prince of Peace came to save us. We were separated from God because of our sins. We cannot walk with God as it is said that, “How can two walk together if they are not in agreement?” We were sinners and He is holy. Because of our sins, we are to be punished and have to pay for the sins we committed. The punishment for our sins is death through the eternal fire in hell. Jesus saved us. He proclaimed the truth that set us free and with that, we were able to see the light. We confessed and repented upon receiving the truth. We were pardoned. Jesus Christ paid for our sins. We were cleansed by His blood. Through His sacrifices, we are now able to come to God. Not even Satan can prevent us from doing so. We are at peace with God and we are at peace with ourselves. His peace dwells in us and nothing can take that away from us. We have peace because we know that the Lord loves us. We have peace because we have Him on our side. I pray that peace abounds in our lives.
