In other words, if you believe, accept and follow Christ. You will not be disappointed here nor in the next life. It is a total submission to Him and His gospel. To become one of His followers, to be a Christian, you undergo a certain biblical requirements of confession, repentance and baptism. Confession (homologeo: homo-same, logeo-say) is to say the same thing as Christ. You need to hear His words and declare the same thing as all other Christians do. Through hearing the words of Christ, you will receive the faith. It is saying and doing the Words of Christ. It is not just doing it, it is living it; it becomes your way of life. It is stating the Ministers’ code: “My life is my Ministry”. Repentance is humbly accepting the sins you have committed against God after hearing His laws and knowing Him. It comes with a decision to change from a sinful life to a righteous one. It is a readiness to surrender yourself to Christ. Christ becomes your Lord. As Lord of your life, Christ is your Master. It means, in Jesus times, that you are His slave. Christ owns you! He owns all that you have. He owns your life, your house, wallet, bank account, business, your wife, your children etc. Do you realize Christ is your Master whom you should serve with all that you have? Baptism is an act of giving and trusting Christ with your life. You give up your sinful life, to die and be buried so that He can resurrect you to give you a new life. You become a new creation made for the good works and righteousness. Now you are a CHILD of Christ with the gift of faith. Hope for God’s promises and a Covenant with God, to be His Child and He your Lord God. Be proud to be a Christian!
