I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us up to heaven. (Philippians 3:14 NLT)
Achievers don’t wait for things to happen. They make things happen. Never can we be able to reach for our spiritual perfection if we do not reach out for it. It is true that God is the one perfecting us, but we have to do our part. We need to press towards spiritual perfection just like Paul did. The analogy is a race wherein we are all competing for the crown. We are members of Christ’s team. He is our Leader, our Team Captain. We need to practice, to discipline ourselves and to be like Christ. We have to put all of our efforts to be the best we can. Focus on Christ so as not to be distracted by the things of this world. After we have done our best, Christ, the Captain of our soul, will finish the race for us. The finish line is heaven and we shall be glorified and be crowned with life everlasting.
