Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up. (James 4:10 NIV)
God is against those who are proud. He puts them down to their knees, breaks their stiff necks and destroys their proud spirits. On the other hand, He exalts the humble, lifts them up and strengthens them and makes them victorious. Through the eyes of faith we see God glorious and majestic. He is holy and almighty. Realizing that we are just His creation, we are lowly, earthly and sinful in His sight. We cannot stand in front of the Most High God. We are to humble ourselves to Him by submitting to His rule as the almighty God. We have to accept Him as our King. But the best thing about it is that we can submit ourselves to Him willingly because we trust Him. We trust Him because He loves us. We know that whatever we are going through in life, He is there to help us. He will wipe away our tears, give us hope, make us strong and lead us the way to peace and success. Yes He will lift us up!
