For we are not, as so many, peddling the word of God; but as of sincerity, but as from God, we speak in the sight of God in Christ. (2 Corinthians 2:17)
We belong to the only Holy Nation on planet earth. We are chosen to be instruments to declare the power and glory of the Most High God, the creator and possessor of heaven and earth. In time past, He spoke to men through His prophets. From their lips, people seek the words of Gods for peace and prosperity. Today God speaks through His Church. He chose us, the Church, to speak for Him. As speakers of Christ, we are, in effect, His Ambassadors of goodwill because we carry the Good News of Salvation, the Gospel of Christ. We speak in the manner Christ speaks, with Agape love for all, with sincerity and in all truthfulness. We speak not to gain favor or fame, not for money or anything like that. We speak because God speaks. We do not speak if God does not. We say what we receive: 100%, no more, no less. We do not speak on our own. The spirit of the Lord is with us. He anointed us to preach His gospel: to the poor so that they may be rich in heavenly treasures; to the broken-hearted so that the may be restored; to the blind so that they may see the light of truth in Jesus Christ and follow Him; to the captives that they may be freed from the anguish and pain due to sins; and, to all who are oppressed so that they may find comfort. If anyone seeks God’s words, find it in the Most Holy Church, to the Saints of the Most High God. That is why, brethren, we are to be ready to tell the truth of God’s words–in season and out of season, I encourage you to preach, if necessary with your lips, for I know that your preaching is through living the Gospel of life.
