Beloved, you do faithfully whatever you do for the brethren and for strangers, who have borne witness of your love before the church. If you send them forward on their journey in a manner worthy of God, you will do well. (3 John 1:5-6 NKJV)
The Elders of the Church instruct us to love and serve one another. If we love each other, we prove ourselves to be real disciples of Christ who first loved us and gave His life for us. Since He loves each one of us, we ought to love each other. We cannot hurt anyone because God stands between us. What we do to anyone, we do it to God. If we love God, we can love each other. If love is overflowing in our hearts, even strangers will be our object of love. Love motivates us to serve the one we love without expecting anything in return. If we serve each other, we are equally blessed. The needy will have enough, the weak becomes strong, doubts are clarified, and those who intend to leave our fellowship will stay. The result is building up the body of Christ. God, our Father, is pleased to see us as one big happy family!
