Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him. (John 6:27 NKJV)
Apostle Paul said, “If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men.” Yes, that is true. God’s promise is something that is incomparable to everything this world can offer. Yes, God will provide for us. He will give our basic needs like food, water, clothes, and shelter, but having these things should not be our top priority in serving Him. We may have wealth and a lot of possessions in this life, but we cannot take them with us once we die. Everything will be meaningless. Do not focus on making ourselves physically happy and satisfied. Do not get tired of serving Him just because we cannot have what we desire. We may experience trials and difficulties, but when we reach the end of the line, everlasting life awaits us – a life where there is no more trouble and fear; no more sadness and tears; and, no more difficulties and worries. Let us have a right mind set. It should be fine with us to continue serving the Lord even without all the material things we desire. After all of these, we will be in Heaven together with our Savior and Father, our Lord Christ Jesus. We will live in peace and happiness forever and ever.
