In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. (Ephesians 1:13 NKJV)

Have you experienced going to a fine dining restaurant with your family? Upon arriving in the venue, you noticed that all tables were occupied. Then, you find one. Unfortunately, on the table is a template with a note in all caps that says: RESERVED. So, despite your desire to dine in that particular place, you cannot. The Holy Spirit is the seal or the earnest of the salvation our God has promised us. No one can claim it except those who were given the seal or the reservation – which we booked through the faith we received from God as a deposit. No one can take it from you because your name is written in the book of life the day you were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Upon His return, the venue shall be available. The owner says, “I will invite everyone who is victorious to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious.”
