I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called. (Ephesians 4:1 NKJV)
God is good! He is good all the time! His plan is to prosper and give us good success. His mighty and unfailing hands arrange everything for our good. His blessings abound in our lives. We may ask ourselves, “What can I give God in return for His great kindness?” There is nothing that we can give God in return. Everything that we have comes from Him: our strength, talents, and even our life. We are His’ – body and soul. He created us so He owns us. He bought us for a great price with His blood and so, we are His bondservants. We are bound for life to serve our Lord Jesus Christ. Brethren, it is a great honor and privilege to serve the Lord Jesus Christ. It is just fitting to serve Him with love – with all our strength, mind, and soul. He has done so much for us to not serve and love Him the best way we can. Let us keep His commands. Be faithful stewards of the things God has blessed us, to proclaim His glory through our works and words. He will be greatly pleased if we do what is right and avoid evil; be just in dealing with others; to love and care for those in need; and, most importantly, to acknowledge God as our Lord and Savior, making Him No. 1 in our life.
