Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. (Luke 12:43 NKJV)
The Master of the House is coming very soon. We have to make sure that His House is in order, clean and peaceful. The Master is our Lord Jesus Christ and we are His House, His Temple, where He dwells. He is the God of Order, a Holy God, and the King of Peace. As loyal servants of God, we await anxiously for His return. His return is the fulfillment of His promise that we will be partakers of His great and unsearchable riches in Heaven. The grace of God justified us through faith, made us holy, ordered our lives to walk according to His will, and gave us genuine peace with Him and with ourselves. We rejoice in this great hope – to be glorified and honored with the Crown of Life and Righteousness. We do not only rejoice in the future reward, but we are glad in serving Him faithfully in this present life until His return. We are also glad to suffer and persevere in serving Him. We are motivated by His love for us. His love compels us to love and serve Him the best way we can. Prosdechomenoi are those who truly await the coming of the Lord. As such, let us be like Eagles. Let us renew our strength and not waiver in performing our Christian duties. Do not fall away in our flight to Heaven. Let us look at and pursue the things which are divine. Do not love and focus on the things of the world. Brethren, together, let us soar high. For us, there is no way but up!
