We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death. (1 John 3:14 NKJV)
God created us after His own image. He breathed life in us and we became living souls. We were one with God. However, sin separated us from Him. The soul that sins is dead. Death due to sin is not physical death but moral and spiritual. In the eyes of God, we are dead, condemned to perish in hell. It is said that a living dog is better than a dead lion. Thus, sinners have no worth at all and can be thrown into the fire, the lake of fire. However, the grace and mercy of God saved us. We were transferred from the land of the dead to the land of the living. We lived in darkness and found the marvelous light. We are created anew in Christ to live in righteousness and do the good works He originally planned for us to walk on. Christ did amazing change in us. He resurrected us. From the sinful life of hell, He gave us the blessed life of heaven. What is the evidence of this newness of life? Love, love, love! It is not just the love of for our physical or earthly families. It is the brotherly love called Agape. If God loves you, who am I not to love you and accept you as my brother? In the same way, you should also love me because Jesus loves me. We love those whom Jesus loves. If we love one another, then we testify that we are the true Disciples of Christ. Brethren, let us cultivate and rekindle our love for one another. Let us help and encourage one another, especially in these last days when the love of people goes cold. What the world needs now is love, love, love! Let us warm the world with true love.
