Now these things, brethren, I have figuratively transferred to myself and Apollos for your sakes, that you may learn in us not to think beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up on behalf of one against the other. (1 Corinthians 4:6 NKJV)

Follow the rules! Follow what has been decided upon. Paul and Apollos exemplified their agreement to what was written. Paul planted, Apollos watered, and God provided the growth. That is the rule that every faithful child of God has to follow. We should plant and water the seed – otherwise, God has nothing to grow. We should have one spirit in planting and in sowing. The one who sow the seed and the one who water it has the same work. We should be united in doing our work of planting and watering. Know that we are co-workers of God. We cannot grow the seed ourselves. It is God’s part of the work. If we plant sparingly, we shall reap sparingly. The field is the world; the words of God are the seeds. We are co-workers of God to plant the seed by preaching the God’s Word in the hearts of the unbelievers. We have to water it consistently, with the Holy Spirit that resides in us. Let us share the fruit of the spirit to them: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. If we do, God will do the rest. He will grow the seed in the hearts of men to grow into faith. Like a small mustard seed, it will grow and increase into a mustard tree where birds can take comfort. The same way, if a small faith grows to perfection, we can command the mountains of trials, temptation, and obstacles to move and get out of our way, and it will be done. Plant the seeds generously, share the words of God to man. With faith, they will be saved. Like us, we can overcome this world. With faith, all things are possible.
