My eyes shall be on the faithful of the land,
That they may dwell with me;
He who walks in a perfect way,
He shall serve me. (Psalms 101:6 NKJV)
We have to transform our way of thinking, our way of life, and pattern it after Christ. He humbled Himself and shared His glory, honor, power, and wisdom to those who believe in Him. He fed the hungry, quenched the thirsty, healed the sick, restored the broken-hearted, eased the burden of the oppressed, and freed the captives. He looked for the needs of others and served them. He is a model of unselfishness. Let us now focus our attention to other people. Let us find those who are faithful in Christ and mingle with them. Let us keep their company – know them for they are your brothers and sisters in faith. Look for every opportunity to serve them. More than that, create opportunities to serve them. As David was saying, “he who walks in a perfect way, he shall serve me.” “To serve” in this sense is to minister or to do spiritual works. It is the priestly work of serving, worshipping, and praising God. Let us look for believers who are faithful, so that they will also be with us in serving the Lord. Let us praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song and His praise in the assembly of saints.
