Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God. (2 Corinthians 3:5 NKJV)
We are called to be members of the Church, the Body of Christ. Just as the members of the physical body have specific functions for the sake of the body, so as we have particular ministries to do for the edification or building up of the Most Holy Church. Each one of us should be involved and committed in the doing our task wherein we are called. It is God, in His sovereign will, who ordained us to become elders, ministers, teachers, deacons, deaconesses, singers, givers etc. We are not allowed to just sit and hear nor stand-by and watch. We are to rise up and work for the advancement of the Kingdom of God. We were not given the spirit of fear but of love, power and of sound mind, so that we can perform our duties successfully. God will not choose us in the Ministry if He will not give us what we need to accomplish them. We should have a change of mind and heart. We can serve God more than what we now do. We can do more for the sake of His glory. Do it now! Do more! Rise and give God your best service.
