But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts. (1 Thessalonians 2:4 NKJV)

We are blessed with the opportunity to be Lord Jesus Christ’s disciple. This kind of fate does not come to everyone. There are billions of people in the world today but you became one with the chosen people, whom God entrusted the authority to preach the Gospel. Because of this, we should show that we are grateful for having this calling. First, we should be actively participating in propagating the gospel. Second, we should have pure intention in propagating it. We were entrusted with the gospel not to showcase our knowledge about it or our outstanding ability to preach it. We were called to preach the gospel not to bring glory for ourselves but to please and glorify God who called us. So, every time we preach the gospel, our goal should be not for our listeners to see our ability to preach, and how deep our knowledge is about the Bible, but for them to know God and be amazed by His Grace.
