Blessed is the man whose strength is in You; Your ways are in their hearts. (Psalms 84:5)
All blessings come from God. God blesses us with our needs, even with our wishes, so we may enjoy them while we are living. We are filled with gladness and strength in the Lord while He blesses us. However, what happens to many people when they come to feel sadness, and they cannot possess their wishes? They lose hope, becoming weary and sad. This happens to people whose hope is not in God but in the blessings they received. When you place your hope on the Lord, what you possess is greater than your needs. To some, they may think they have a lot more than what you have – things that they deem to bring them happiness, momentary joy. What they do not know is that God is with you, and this is more than enough to fill you with gladness in all the days of your life. Love your God who blesses you and not the blessings He bestows upon you.
