Footprints No. 151

According to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. (Philippians 1:20-21 NKJV)

Every person’s ultimate goal is to achieve all his life’s dreams. There are some who look for other things to work for after they achieved their dreams. There are some who are already contented with what they have. But if it is their purpose, where will they use them? We, servants of God, are not like that. We have a specific reason for all our hard work – to be successful in our ministry in the Lord. Because what people can achieve in life will fade, brake, and disappear. But our service to the Lord glorifies, honors, and exalts Him, which will bring us more good things for our own benefit and welfare in this life, and the life to come. There are things that will never be broken, lasting to eternity. That is why these things are more glorious, pure, and holy than the things people can achieve in this life. Let us long to be rich and be perfect in our duties in the Lord. Be courageous at all times and praise the Lord in our time. If our life will be taken, we will die in service and it will be a gain for us.
