You were kind to people in jail. And you gladly let your possessions be taken away, because you knew you had something better, something that would last forever. (Hebrews 10:34 CEV)
We understand that we sympathize because of the Lord, therefore we serve by showing compassion. For us disciples of God, we received material things like money, food, garments, and other things to use them in serving and praising God; to serve those who are in need, especially the brethren. With this, we will gain true treasures or good works that will be recorded in the book of our deeds in heaven. Let us take advantage of the opportunity to do good, in the sense of: “Much is required from those to whom much is given.” According to the teaching of the Lord Christ Jesus, we will be compassionate because we prioritize to grow spiritually before the Lord. This is what we glorify more if we will be compassionate. Let us make sure that we are taking care of our right and part in heaven by serving and being compassionate to others, and we will claim it all forever in due time.
