Then Deborah said to Barak, “Up! For this is the day in which the Lord has delivered Sisera into your hand. Has not the Lord gone out before you?” So Barak went down from Mount Tabor with ten thousand men following him. And the Lord routed Sisera and all his chariots and all his army with the edge of the sword before Barak; and Sisera alighted from his chariot and fled away on foot. (Judges 4:14-15 NKJV)
We are in a spiritual warfare between good and evil. It can be daunting sometimes as we see ourselves incapable or lacking because we know that on our own, we cannot do anything. We may be struggling to fight the daily battles we have within ourselves – letting go of bad habits, overcoming sins, keeping our hearts pure, abandoning ill feelings, and the like. Even doing the right thing, which is not always easy, can be part of our daily struggles to fight off evil and temptations. But do not lose heart. Just like Barak, we are called upon to fight. So, get ready. The Lord will give us victory. The Lord has already gone on ahead to fight for you. We just have to follow Him. Surrender ourselves completely to the Lord knowing that He is in control of everything. Trust His process. God is with us in our everyday battles.
