Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:13-14 NKJV)
Let us follow Apostle Paul’s Christian walk. He was able to fulfill God’s plan for him to preach the gospel to the gentiles and bring them back to Christ. We are also called to serve God and to fulfill His will to us. Here are some tips from Saint Paul: one, be humble to acknowledge your weaknesses and past failures, whatever they may be. Consider whatever you have and have done as incomplete until God’s purpose is done. Two, having admitted them, we are to focus our sight on the things ahead of us, those things that we still have to do and accomplish. Do not let the past affect the present life and reaching the goal of the future. Do not cry over spilled milk. Do not live in the past. Live today with prospect of a brighter tomorrow. Three, do your best in whatever you do, bearing in mind that they all shall make up your whole work. Any wrong move will mean failure but careful and calculated steps may lead to success. If success seems far, do not stop but be persistent–you may be one step to achieving your goal. Four, believe in your heart that what you do will glorify God. Whatever you do, God should be your first consideration. Proverbs says, the curse of the Lord is on the house of the wicked, but He blesses the home of the righteous.
