I have gained perfect freedom by following your teachings. (Psalms 119:45 CEV)
Perfect freedom is the absence of any restraint. You can do whatever you please. Do not be misled by Satan who offers freedom but put us in the bondage of sin. One can drink, eat, and be merry and say that he is free to do everything he wants for as long as he does not interfere with the affairs of others. That was what the prodigal son wanted to have, to be free, away from the house of his father. For as long as he is in the house of his father, he has no freedom at all for he is restrained by the rules of his father. So he went and spent his life enjoying his supposed freedom. He found out otherwise. He lost everything, even himself. So he went back to his father. He was clothed as a son and again enjoyed everything in his father’s house. For as long as we obey God, we can enjoy genuine freedom. Perfect freedom is when we have the spirit of God. If we have Him, Satan will flee from us. He cannot bind us and be his slaves again. Perfect freedom is when we can approach God anytime we want without any hindrance to worship and fellowship with Him. Perfect freedom is when we enjoy the presence of God and the blessings He gives. To obtain perfect freedom is to give up on ourselves. Live in the spirit. Best of all, love to obey God. You will be free of any guilt, worries and hatred. It is so, so good to be free!
