The kingdoms of men rise and fall. Their Rulers are born then die. They come and go. God’s kingdom is everlasting. He rules forever and ever. He lives and does not die. He cannot be replaced by anyone. The reason for the rise and fall of earthly kingdoms is their imperfections. Men who rule are not perfect. Whatever men do to govern at their utmost best – still their best will never be good enough. They have limitations. God is perfect. He rules perfectly and in Him there is no boundary – He is timeless. He is the only Ruler faithful to His words. Truly, the King’s words cannot be broken.
