Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God’s kindness toward you, provided you continue in his kindness; otherwise you also will be cut off. (Romans 11:22 NRSV)
We should realize that God created us in His image. However, we are falling short of His glory because of sin. We should have been separated from Him, but because of His amazing love – He forgave us. He regards us to be worthy of the honor of continuously serving Him. This alone is enough reason we should be faithful and grateful to Him. Knowing this, we should strive to be godly or holy, as He is holy by doing His perfect will.
