Let every soul be subject to the higher authorities. For there is no authority but of God; the authorities that exist are ordained by God. (Romans 13:1 MKJV)
The Supreme Governor of the whole universe is God Almighty. It is the duty of all creatures to submit to Him. If one will not obey God, he separates himself from God which results in conflict with God. Peace with God is thru obedience and submission to Him. For the same reason, God commands that every person should submit to superior authorities to maintain peace on earth. Rebellion is not of God but of Satan. Remember, Satan rebelled against the absolute divine authority of God. He is now destined to eternal punishment in hell along with those who are rebels like him. Know that God is establishing His Heavenly Kingdom to rule in the Millennium. The Church, His spiritual kingdom, for now, is being built within the different kingdoms on earth. Soon, the Most Holy Church will come out as not only spiritual but a physical Kingdom established in all nations. It will be an empire within empires, a kingdom within kingdoms of men. For now, all members of the Most Holy Church are to submit themselves to the power appointed by God, which is given to the General Bishop and to the Bishops and Ministers. This results in unity and peace amid the Brethren.
