Power Point No. 309

But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong. (1 Corinthians 1:27 ESV)

We are the chosen ones to whom God has revealed the knowledge of the past, present, and future. We have nothing to warrant His calling except that He chose us by His sovereign will. Although we are nobodies and have-nots and despised in this world, we were honored to be members of His spiritual body, the Church. He gave us the power to overcome the world. We are said to have the power to turn the world upside down. Indeed, we can overturn the present dispensation through the preaching of the words of God, when those who hear believe and follow the new way of life that God has wanted men to live by. The wisdom we have is divine, greater than the knowledge of this world. It is our power to defeat all of Satan’s ploys. It provides us the power to release Satan’s captives as well. The wise and the mighty rely on their own power emanating from their wealth and knowledge. However, we rely only on God who is most powerful and wise. When we lack knowledge, we ask God and He gives us immeasurable wisdom. When we are weak, He strengthens us. If we overcome, we praise and thank Him. We honor Him by saying: We are God’s mere instruments. To Him be all the glory.
