Let Us Pray No. 60

  • March 1, 2017

“As an eagle stirs up its nest, hovers over its young, spreading out its wings, taking them up, carrying them on its wings. So the LORD alone led him, and there was no foreign god with him.” Deuteronomy 32:11-12

Abba, our Father. You are our deliverer and the sustainer of our body and soul. May our thanks and praises come to you as sweet smelling offering every morning as we arise from a restful night. We come to you as we commence the day knowing that you alone and no one else can lead us towards the upward path of life. Teach us how to leave our comfort zone and to endure the hardship in our daily walk. Make us see your presence behind all the trials and difficulties that we may understand your will with the hope that they will lead us to perseverance and ultimately to works of perfect faith.

Lord God, we need your encouragement and direction like an eagle that stirs its young to get out of the nest and try to stretch their wings and fly. Let us have the courage to go out into the world to fulfill our purpose of proclaiming your glory through obedience to all your laws and to bear fruits of repentant souls. May we not fear the depths and breadths of suffering as we soar to attain our goal of achieving the most holy faith. May your Holy Spirit cover us like eagle wings to protect and carry us through each day with your Godly peace in our hearts. Amen.
