Let Us Pray No. 58

“Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise.” Proverbs 6:6

Abba, Father, we are in the world and at a time where we can be caught in a rat race. People struggle very hard to attain wealth and power. It could be very exhausting activity which leads to nothing. Because of that people forget about the most important things in life. It is the soul. As you said, gaining the whole world means nothing if the soul will die. Today, Lord, you command us to learn from the ants. Make us wise in discerning the best way to spend our lives fully and fruitfully and to take every opportunity that comes our way that we be able to do your will and become blessings to others. The ants keep on working while they have the time and opportunity to store food for the future. They love each other that when one finds food, it tells others that they may also have their share. They do not fight to get more than others rather, they work together in unity. They work in an orderly fashion without murmuring but silently minding their own work. Lord, we pray that you give us the spirit of unity, love and affection for each other that we may be able to work together for the benefit of our souls, for the glory of your name. Let us store for the future, work of righteousness which will testify to the world that we are your children. Let us take every opportunity to share the blessings of truth, grace and your agape love to others. May you use us as instruments to bring the gospel to all men in obedience to your work of salvation. Lord, empower us today to serve our brothers and sisters in every way we can. Lord, keep us going, reaching perfect holiness to the praise of the glory of your grace.  Amen
