Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. (1 John 3:1 NKJV)
Abba, Most High God, our Spiritual Father, we were born not of the will of the flesh but of Your words and Spirit. We did not choose to be Your children. You chose us to be Your beloved sons and daughters. You gave us the right to be called Your children as You pleased and not for our qualities nor inequities. We walked away from You and despised Your ways. Despite that, You came to us in human form to set an example of how we can walk acceptable before You and, ultimately, You died on the cross to save us from our sins. You did all that to make us worthy of Your adoption. There is no such love greater than what You gave us. Therefore, we pray to help us keep the honor You gave us. The world may not esteem our right us Your children, for the world did not know You in the first place. However, how the world sees us does not matter. What matters is how You see us while we are walking in this world. May we show You our love by completely living according to Your statutes in everything we do and wherever we go. We pray all these because we are grateful for the love of our God, Lord Christ Jesus. Amen.
